Quinta do Infantado Vinhas Classe A (the highest classification in the Douro Demarcated Region). The Quinta do Infantado Vintages come from old vines planted with a wide variety of noble Douro grape varieties. All vineyards are farmed under certified integrated production, aiming to minimise negative impacts on the environment. Winemaking: Grapes transported in 20 kg crates. Mechanical crushing with partial destemming. Fermentation in a lagar with mechanical treading. Indigenous yeasts. Fermentation halted with 77% grape spirit. Aged in casks and large oak vats over 100 years old. Bottled at the estate, unfined and unfiltered, on 31 August 2018: 816 magnums, 6,534 bottles and 1,001 half-bottles, all numbered.
