With a deep purple‑black hue, it is incredibly pure and concentrated, boasting good depth. The palate is intensely sweet with ripe blackberries, while the nose reveals cassis, chocolate, licorice and spices. The tannins are plush, filling the mouth at the outset, and the finish is long. Though young, this Port is ready to drink and will remain so for the next twenty years.
