Very concentrated in colour. The nose offers great depth and complexity, with many aromatic nuances, none of which overpowers the others. Elegant, with excellent oak integration, it surprises with a wide range of flavours and a very long finish. The Ferreirinha estates are probably the most emblematic in the Douro. Among them, Quinta do Vale Meão carries immense symbolism, having been conceived from scratch when the estate was acquired on virgin land. By its own merit, Quinta do Vale Meão is truly one of Portugal’s most interesting and coveted wines, and it earns deserved recognition for the quality it delivers in every vintage. The estate also produces a second wine, Meandro do Vale Meão, made from the youngest vines. (illustrative image)
