The bottles of aged wines may show traces of dust and damaged labels, which is expected given their age. The National Cellar is committed to storing all wines at the correct temperature and humidity, but it always chooses to preserve the visual appearance inherent to their age. We select brands/regions that, as a rule, reveal distinct characteristics in tastings of old wines. However, we inform that wine is a living organism exposed to time, and even within a bottle, aromas evolve in various ways. Therefore, the National Cellar cannot be held responsible for the product’s quality, as it is an aged wine. Our recommendation is to open the bottle and let the wine breathe beforehand, as this will help release its natural aromas after so many years closed. If you choose to decant the wine before serving, make sure to do so patiently to detect the appearance of sediment, which a typical old wine tends to produce. (illustrative image)
