Only 755 bottles produced, the Ribas Lira From Friends to Friends 27 is an intense, deep‑character wine born from a careful selection of old vines. It shows a garnet red colour with a brown halo, hinting at its evolution and complexity. At the nose, youthful black fruit and violet notes give way over time to black cherry, cooked plum and wild fruit, wrapped in earthy leather, wet earth, and fine spices such as black pepper, cedar, cigar box and cinnamon. After an exceptional ten‑year period in new French oak barrels, it displays a grand, robust structure with a long, marked finish and a distinct oxidised profile—an authentic, deep‑cutting red for discerning lovers of complex wines, unfrozen and only lightly filtered.
