Bottles of old wines may show traces of dust and damaged labels, which is in line with their age. The National Wine Cellar is obliged to store all wines at the correct temperature and humidity, but it always chooses to preserve the visual appearance inherent to their age. We select brands/regions that normally reveal distinct characteristics in tastings of old wines. However, we inform you that wine is a living organism exposed to time, and even within a bottle, aromas are subject to various evolutions. Thus, the National Wine Cellar cannot be held responsible for the product's quality, as it is an old wine. Our recommendation is to open the bottle and let the wine air out beforehand, as this will help release its natural aromas after many years closed. If you choose to decant the wine before serving, make sure you do it patiently to detect the appearance of sediment, which a typical old wine tends to produce. (Illustrative image only)
