The bottles of older wines may show traces of dust and damaged labels, which is to be expected given their age. The National Wine Cellar commits to storing all wines at the correct temperature and humidity, yet it also chooses to preserve the visual character inherent to their age. We select brands and regions that, by default, display distinct traits in tastings of aged wines. Nevertheless, we inform you that wine is a living organism exposed to time, and even while sealed, its aromas evolve in various ways. Thus, the National Wine Cellar cannot be held responsible for the product’s quality, as it is an old wine. Our recommendation is to open the bottle and let the wine breathe first, as this will help release its natural aromas after so many years closed. If you decide to decant before serving, make sure to do so patiently to detect any sediment that, as is typical, an old wine tends to form. (Illustrative image)
