The bottles of older wines may show dust and damaged labels, as expected with their age. The National Cellar stores all wines at the proper temperature and humidity, yet it always preserves the visual appearance that comes with age. We select brands/regions that normally reveal distinct characteristics in tastings of aged wines. However, we note that wine is a living organism that, even when sealed, its aromas evolve over time. Thus, the National Cellar cannot be held liable for the product’s quality, since it is an old wine. Our advice is to open the bottle and let the wine breathe first, as this helps liberate its natural aromas after so many years closed. If you choose to decant before serving, do so patiently to detect the sediment that an aged wine tends to develop. (illustrative image)
