Quinta do Olival da Murta has, since its inception, a long tradition of grape and wine production. Its climate, shaped by the Atlantic and the nearby Serra de Montejunto, places the estate in the Óbidos subregion—one of the nine origin designations of the “Lisbon Wine Region.” This area is renowned for aromatic reds rich in tannins that age beautifully in bottle, as well as a wide variety of fresh, balanced whites. Serra Oca wines are made from Portuguese grape varieties using low‑intensity viticulture and no synthetic chemicals. Harvesting is done by hand, and the grapes are vinified simply, relying on naturally occurring yeasts and allowing time to be the key factor for quality.
