The bottles of older wines may show traces of dust and damaged labels, which is to be expected given their age. The National Cellar is committed to storing all wines at the correct temperature and humidity, yet it always chooses to preserve the visual appearance that reflects their age. We select brands/regions that, by default, display distinct characteristics in tastings of older wines. However, we inform you that wine is a living organism that, even when sealed in a bottle, its aromas are subject to various evolutions over time. Therefore, the National Cellar cannot be held responsible for the product’s quality, as it is an aged wine. Our recommendation is to open the bottle and allow the wine to breathe beforehand, as this will help release its natural aromas after many years of being sealed. If you choose to decant the wine before serving, be sure to do so patiently to detect the emergence of sediment, which an old wine tends to produce. (Illustrative image)
