The Transmontanas Caves have built their reputation and distinctiveness on producing exclusively Premium sparkling wines. The company began its activities in the 1980s with an ambitious project to produce high‑quality sparkling wines in the Douro region, made by the Classic Method, and later also invested in still wine production. Located in Alijó, it benefits from the Mediterranean micro‑climate of the Cima Corgo sub‑region, producing not only sparkling wines with the right freshness and aromatic profile, but also dense and complex still wines.
