The bottles of aged wines may show traces of dust and damaged labels, which is to be expected given their age. The National Cellar commits to storing all wines at the correct temperature and humidity, but always chooses to preserve the visual appearance inherent to their age. We select brands/regions that, normally, reveal distinct characteristics in tastings of aged wines. However, we note that wine is a living organism exposed to time, and even inside a bottle, its aromas are subject to various evolutions. Thus, the National Cellar cannot be held responsible for the product's quality, as it is an old wine. Our recommendation is to open the bottle and let the wine aerate first, as this will help release its natural aromas after many years closed. If you choose to decant the wine before serving, make sure you do so patiently to detect the appearance of sediment, which a vintage wine tends to develop. (Illustrative image)
