In 1942, the company CAVES IMPÉRIO – Imperial Vinícola, Lda was established, dedicated to the production of wines and liqueurs, adopting the name CAVES IMPÉRIO, S.A. in 1981. In 1943, thanks to its location and the commitment of its partners, the first warehouse and cellar for wine ageing and the production of natural sparkling wines by the Champagne method were built.
