History and Ownership Ancient origins: The history of Quinta da Pacheca is linked to the Cistercian Order, which in the 16th century owned extensive lands in the Douro region. The first records of bottling wine under the Pacheca brand date back to 1737. New management: In 2012 and 2013, the property was acquired by entrepreneurs Maria do Céu Gonçalves and Paulo Pereira, who gave new impetus to the project.
