This 100 Mal is a delightfully mischievous creation, a Vinho Verde that certainly gives you a jolt of freshness. The “needle” Robert Parker noted is genuinely present – a lively effervescence – bursting with citrus notes, reminiscent of summer rain and juicy citrus like lemon and grapefruit. Remarkably light but with a surprisingly full body, it’s as if the Alvarinho and Loureiro grapes were having a bit of fun. Absolutely brilliant with grilled fish or a drizzly salad; a truly refreshing palate surprise.
