From a bulk wine supplier to an instant reference of the Madeiran wine region is an achievement. Everything began in 1991 when Ricardo Freitas joined the family firm and, together with the Japanese Kinoshita partners, transformed Barbeito into one of the region’s most important Madeiran wine producers.
