Description

This luscious wine is made from the Mourisco (or Marufo) grape and displays a ruby hue with aromas of red fruit, offering a smooth, dense structure in the mouth. Adega do Fundão was founded in 1949 by 30 winemakers from the Beira Interior region and is located in Cova da Beira, an area of vine cultivation that dates back to the 2nd century and the Roman settlements of that era. The vineyards are planted along the Serra da Gardunha, enabling the production of grapes that give the wines unrivaled richness, freshness, and exuberance. (illustrative image only)
