Alabastro The name Alabastro is inspired by a semi‑precious marble of Alentejo, paying homage to this stone and its connection to the soils of many of our vineyards. This wine is the result of selecting the best wines with potential for Reserva. **Wine Profile:** A regional Alentejo red made from the region’s most emblematic red varieties, harvested in September. Partial aging in used wood gives it a medium body, complexity, and balance, with spice notes. Very pleasant and easy to drink, smooth on the palate with a long, fruity finish. **Soil:** Clay‑calcareous and loamy. **Vinification and Maturation:** The grapes are vinified separately in the modern cellar of Quinta do Carmo, Estremoz. Fermentation occurs in stainless‑steel tanks with temperature control. A brief post‑fermentation maceration preserves fruity aromas. 12 months: 90 % in stainless‑steel tanks and 10 % in used French oak barrels. **Food Pairing:** Versatile at the table. Pairs well with stews, roasted poultry, lightly seasoned charcuterie, and buttery cheeses. **Awards** Gold – Mundus Vini Summer Tasting (2019) Bronze – International Wine & Spirits Competition (2017) Commended Medal – Decanter Asia Wine Awards (2017) 90/100 – Wine Enthusiast Magazine (2014) **Allergen Information** Contains sulfites.
