As the name itself suggests, the “Alba Abiega Desde Zero” is the first wine bottled by Alba in Ribera, the opening chapter of a project carefully devised by Alba and Enrique Abiega in Olmedillo de Roa. The freshness and purity of Tempranillo, coupled with the delicacy of a moderate French‑oak aging, blend harmoniously into a red that, as its creators note, mirrors the cellar’s very spirit—grounded in a “contemporary vision of a new Ribera del Duero, where fruit takes centre stage and wood supports without imposing itself.” It was crowned Best Red Wine of Spain 2024 by the Vinos Gourmets guide.
