Two winemakers who have shaped the history of wine in Portugal over recent decades, in two regions the world recognizes for their high quality and distinct character, the Douro and Alentejo, come together in a project conceived for the Douro, specifically the Cima Corgo and Douro Superior areas—two exceptional and protected terroirs. Thus Duorum is born, a dream realized in the millennial vineyards of the Douro. Duorum Vinhos began its operations in January 2007, expressing the desire of João Portugal Ramos and José Maria Soares Franco to combine their professional activities as winemakers into a project that produces Douro wines of unique characteristics and international stature.
