Two winemakers who have defined the history of Portuguese wine in recent decades—one from the Douro and one from the Alentejo, two regions the world recognises for their high quality and distinctive character—come together in a project conceived for the Douro. Focused on the Cima Corgo and Douro Superior areas, two exceptional and protected terroirs, Duorum is born out of a dream realized in the millennial vineyards of the Douro. Duorum Vinhos began operations in January 2007, reflecting the desire of João Portugal Ramos and José Maria Soares Franco to combine their professional winemaking expertise into a venture that produces Douro wines of unique character and international stature.
