Foral de ATEI The grapes for this wine are selected from the finest Alvarinho vineyards belonging to the family. Viticulture: The Basto sub-region is the most inland of the Vinho Verde Region, with Mondim de Basto being the only municipality in Trás-os-Montes to bear this designation. Situated at a medium-to-high altitude, it is naturally sheltered from maritime winds. The soils are predominantly granitic, the ideal terroir for wines with a mineral profile. The climate is more rugged, with cold, rainy winters and hot, dry summers, which favours the production of the region's main white grape varieties, notably Alvarinho, Loureiro, Arinto and Azal. The beauty of this rural area is matched only by the magnificent Tâmega River, which winds around all of our vineyards. Winemaking: The harvest is carried out by hand, using our own grapes, which are picked and transported to the winery in 25 kg crates. This is followed by full destemming, light pressing and settling. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks with temperature control. No malolactic fermentation or oak ageing is used. The wine is fined and microfiltered immediately before bottling, thus ensuring its microbiological stability. 100% Vegan Friendly. Perfect with pasta, rice, shellfish, grilled fish and white meats. A complex wine, to be enjoyed before or during meals, with a gastronomic character. Awards: GOLD MEDAL – Gilbert & Gaillard Wine Tasting 2023 Allergen Information: Contains sulphites. SKU: 107774
