This “Anel” from producer Marcio Lopes is a bold statement, isn’t it? It’s clearly built on old vines and a slightly unusual blend – 50% Touriga Nacional, 40% Touriga Franca, and a generous 10% of some truly ancient stock. The finish is wonderfully structured, with a hint of oak that’s fantastic with grilled meats – a natural pairing, really. Honestly, this wine has the hallmarks of something that’ll age gracefully; a good bet for enjoyment now, or perhaps a decade from now, if you’re careful.
