The Argilla wine is produced at Herdade da Anta de Cima, located in the Serra de Montargil, in the municipality of Ponte de Sor, property of the Tenreiro family. Its agricultural operation is based on the traditional agroforestry production system of the region, where the vineyards occupy the estate's most fertile soils. At Anta de Cima, the last vineyards were uprooted in the 1950s, and as a testament to this history stands the old clay-jar cellar, which still endures the test of time. Argilla and Argilla clay-jar wines are terroir wines, with a select and distinctive profile, made from very noble Portuguese grape varieties. (image for illustrative purposes only)
