This Arribas, born from carefully cultivated vines on the schistous slopes of the Douro Superior – between Freixo de Espada à Cinta and Barca d’Alva – embodies a truly traditional spirit. Predominantly crafted with Touriga Nacional, Tinta Roriz and Aragonez, it showcases an elegance characteristic of these older Portuguese varieties. Expect vibrant notes of ripe red berries intertwined with warming spices, all thanks to a six-month maturation in French oak barrels. A concentrated wine with firm tannins and a lingering finish, it’s an excellent match for a hearty beef roast, naturally.
