The Quinta dos Murças, located in the heart of the Douro Denominação de Origem Controlada (DOC), is defined by eight distinct terroirs strongly shaped by the mountains, varying altitudes, sun exposure, loamy soils, and the characteristic climate of the Douro river valley. The vineyards host dozens of native grape varieties, cultivated under Organic and Integrated Production systems. Olive trees, orange trees, almond trees and Mediterranean woodland help maintain ecosystem balance. Esporão was born in the Alentejo from an unwavering desire to make the finest wines.
