The friendship between the owners of Avignonesi and the Capannelle winery in Chianti gave rise to this Avignonesi Capannelle 50/50. Its first vintage dates back to 1988, when, during a cordial dinner, the then owners of both estates began comparing and blending their respective wines. In the end, they arrived at the perfect 50‑50 mix of Sangiovese and Merlot—an elegant, long‑bodied, silky red that we still enjoy today.
