Born from the rugged schistous slopes of the Rio Torto and Ribeira de Galegos, this Bafarela Reserva is a clear testament to the Brites Aguiar family’s dedication to the vine – a passion initially rooted in olive oil and now singularly focused on crafting a wine with undeniable character. The grapes, gently de-stemmed and patiently macerated for an almost epic 40 days, unleash a vibrant burst of red and violet fruit, beautifully complemented by floral nuances and a subtle spiced finish. Maturation in carefully chosen French oak barrels lends a luxurious, velvety texture without overshadowing the wine’s inherent terroir. A persistent, refreshing wine with a lingering finish, perfect alongside a hearty roast or a grilled fish with roasted potatoes – truly a celebration of flavour.
