In 2011, Rui Reboredo Madeira returned to the same winery where he had his first harvest in 1987. Located in the small village of Vermiosa, in Figueira de Castelo Rodrigo, among Portugal’s highest vineyards, the wines of Beira Interior are vinified and aged there. Thus the Beyra wine brand was born, distinguished by excellence and the pioneering concept of “High‑Altitude Wines.” In one of the most remote areas of the Iberian Peninsula, in the Raiana zone between the Upper Douro and the Upper Beira, Rui Reboredo Madeira’s family passion for the aromas and scents of the land shaped his character. After years of experience and adventures elsewhere in the world, Rui brings back to his roots what he has learned, launching his personal wine‑making project with the utmost respect for nature.
