This Beyra Grande Reserva, born from nearly 80-year-old Syrah and Rabo Negro vines planted on clay-slate soils, clearly enjoyed a good chat with its French oak barrels. The result is a remarkably fresh wine with an acidity that bucks against its age – as noted by *Revista de Vinhos* (17.5 points). Despite a pronounced mineral character and aromas of tangerine and lime, it’s a wine with enough verve to pair beautifully with white fish or shellfish, no doubt.
