This Beyra Superior by Rui Roboredo certainly seems to have had a spirited youth. The influence of the French oak – with its characteristic spice and hints of honey – has clearly shaped a bold personality. It’s a structured red wine, demanding a satisfying pairing, perhaps with a braised rabbit or roasted suckling pig, to allow its youthful complexity to fully mature into harmonious perfection. A promising gamble, to be sure.
