In 2011, Rui Reboredo Madeira returned to the same winery where he harvested his first vintage in 1987. Located in the small village of Vermiosa, in Figueira de Castelo Rodrigo, among Portugal’s highest vineyards, his Beira Interior wines are vinified and aged there. The Beyra brand was born, distinguished by excellence and the pioneering concept of “Altitude Wines.” In one of the most remote areas of the Iberian Peninsula—between the Superior Douro and Beira Alta—Rui Reboredo Madeira’s family‑grown passion for the aromas and scents of the land that shape his character emerged. After years of experience and life in other corners of the world, Rui brings back to his roots what he has learned, launching a personal wine‑production project, always with the utmost respect for nature.
