“This bordeaux-style blend, born from a lengthy maturation in the finest plots of the Alentejo, is a true testament to patience. The Syrah and Alicante Bouschet grapes, harmoniously combined, yielded fruit of remarkable balance, already ready to fully express their potential. Following traditional Alentejo practices – foot treading the ‘lagares’ – fermentation was followed by a brief period in new oak, which has imparted delicate floral and fruit aromas, alongside an earthy complexity. The result is a full-bodied, silky-smooth red wine, brimming with freshness and deserving of careful ageing, as recognised by the Golden Prize awarded at Vila Nova de Gaia Wine Fair. It’s a fantastic pairing with grilled red meats or dishes featuring mushrooms.”
