This Cabeça de Toiro Nature Reserva truly feels like it’s sprung from a fairytale wood. The wild berry notes, interwoven with a whisper of spice, hint at extended barrel aging – a very respectable affair, if I may add – yet retain that wonderfully fresh and vibrant character so characteristic of the Touriga Nacional. The *Revista de Vinhos* certainly recognised its quality, awarding it 17.5 points, and frankly, it demands a robust beef roast to tame its frankly quite intense fruit.
