This Cartuxa has clearly enjoyed its time in oak, a touch too much perhaps! The blend of Trincadeira and Aragonez is wonderfully robust, elegantly tempered by a touch of Alfrocheiro. The Fundação Eugénio de Almeida certainly recognises the potential – a truly impressive wine that would pair beautifully with a hearty beef roast.
