This Cartuxa EA consistently proves what we already knew – the Alentejo has a truly remarkable gift when it comes to wine. Featuring a touch of Arinto for that vibrant freshness, alongside a backbone of Antão Vaz and Roupeiro, it’s a remarkably elegant and balanced wine, showcasing ripe white fruit notes and a wonderfully persistent finish, very characteristic of the region. Apparently, it pairs particularly well with grilled fish or fresh oysters – a combination that, rather charmingly, seems to be a favourite of the monks themselves.
