Its name is inspired by the Carthusian monks who, since 1598, have lived a solitary life of prayer at the Cartuxa Monastery, owned by the Eugénio de Almeida Foundation, where, in the silence of its cellars, the wine is aged. With a strong personality and the result of a rigorous selection, the Cartuxa wine has its own distinct expression and character.
