We’re looking at a producer who’s risen from the ashes. He came to stay and write a new chapter, yet this house’s story dates back to the 19th century, when it was built. Great wines have emerged from this estate and its vines—remember the P63, once vinified by José Maria da Fonseca. Fate had the place “abandoned” to the wine world, leaving only a faint echo of the great wines that were born there. It also brought a new owner of discerning taste and extreme dedication to craft and excel. Thus the new Casa da Passarella was born, ready to write a fresh chapter in the history of this house and the Dão region. The wines are excellent, made with rigorous care and a strong desire to be the best.
