We are faced with a producer who has risen from the ashes. He came to stay and write a new story, yet the house’s history dates back to the 19th century when it was founded. Great wines were born here, from these vines—who can forget the P63, once vinified by José Maria da Fonseca? Fate left the place “abandoned” to the wine world, preserving only a faint memory of the great wines that were once born there. It also left a new owner of refined taste and unwavering dedication to make and make well. Thus the new Casa da Passarella was born, to write a new chapter in the house’s history and in the Dão region. The wines are excellent, crafted with rigor and a strong desire to do the best.
