Vale Da Pia Tinto

Description

Vale da Pia red wine is made from the grape varieties Tinta Roriz, Touriga Nacional and Touriga Franca, hand‑picked and fermented in stainless‑steel tanks. It displays a brilliant ruby color, with concentrated aromas of red fruit and wild berries. On the palate, it is round and harmonious. Quinta do Reguengo is located in the Upper Douro sub‑region, along the Douro River in Pocinho, Vila Nova de Foz Côa, characterized by clay‑silty soils where granite outcrops can be found. This type of soil, combined with varying altitudes, exposures, and grape varieties, is influenced by the warm, humid winds from the Douro Valley and the cooler winds from Spain, creating excellent conditions for a regular ripening of the grapes. The winemaking is overseen by Pedro Branco, who is also the driving force behind the Família Silva Branco wines. (image purely illustrative)
