We are confronted with a producer who has risen from the ashes. He came to stay and write a new story, yet the house’s history is ancient, dating back to the 19th century when it was built. Great wines were born from this estate and its vines, and who can forget the P63, once vinified by José Maria da Fonseca? Fate had left it “abandoned” to the wine world, leaving only a faint memory of the great wines that emerged there. It also seemed that the new owner, of refined taste and extreme dedication, would restore and excel. Thus the new Casa da Passarella was born, ready to write a fresh chapter in its legacy and the Dão region. The wines are excellent, with equally delightful labels, crafted with rigor and a strong desire to do their best. The future appears secure, judged by its dazzling start. (Illustrative image only)
