This ruby-red from Casa d'Arrochella, born from the estate’s century-old vines in the heart of the Douro Superior, is a testament to tradition and careful craft. Predominantly Touriga Nacional and Aragonez, with supporting roles from Touriga Franca, Sousão, and a touch of Alicante Bouschet, it bursts with flavour thanks to meticulous winemaking and extended aging in French oak. A good decant – around 15 minutes – is highly recommended to allow it to fully express its layered complexity. Seriously, don’t be shy! It’s magnificent with a hearty beef roast, or even a succulent duck breast.
