Initially, you’re greeted with notes of dry seaweed, a whisper of exotic wood, and surprisingly, toasted cereal – clearly a wine with a well-stocked adventurer’s pantry. On the palate, it’s a full-bodied beauty with remarkable persistence and that essential Dão acidity. The finish lingers, conjuring images of perfectly pan-fried broad beans. A well-deserved 93 points – this is a genuine little gem, best enjoyed with a hearty cod dish or, for the truly adventurous, a wild duck.
