Chão Gonçalo is a red wine made from Touriga Nacional and Petit Verdot. It shows a bright red hue with floral notes of violet, along with aromas of bergamot and spices. The elegant body and enveloping tannins give it a silky texture and a refreshing finish. The story of Casa de Sarmento began in 1980 with a restaurant specializing in roasted suckling pig in the Demarcated Region of Bairrada. The business grew over the years, branching out while never abandoning its first venture. Decades later, two new estates were acquired in Alentejo and a third in Bairrada, allowing the house to become self‑sufficient in producing quality wines, sparkling wines, olive oil, and all agricultural and livestock products. *(illustrative image)*
