This “Petroleiro” from Cascale is a wine that certainly doesn’t pull any punches, blending Perrum, Aragonez, Antão Vaz and Síria. It boasts impressively smooth tannins alongside a substantial body – a generous wine, certainly – without ever feeling overwhelming. The finish is remarkably clean and refreshing, lingering long enough to inspire profound philosophical debates, perhaps best enjoyed with a grilled beef steak and a generous pinch of black pepper to cut through the richness.
