This Castello D’Alba Reserva clearly enjoyed a well-deserved break in the Douro. The Touriga Franca, predictably bursting with wild berry notes and a hint of spice, is beautifully complemented by the Tinta Roriz and Touriga Nacional, adding a touch of French-inspired elegance. Maturation in French and American oak lends a welcoming sweetness, and the remarkably polished tannins make it a fantastic match for a hearty roast. A truly impressive wine, considering its Douro origins!
