Castelo do Sulco Seleção do Enólogo red is produced from the Touriga Nacional, Tinta Roriz and Castelão grapes. It presents aromas of wild fruits, blackberries and raspberries. On the palate it is smooth and harmonious, with mature and elegant tannins. The Quinta do Gradil has been referenced in the history of Portuguese wines since 1492. However, it was only in the 17th century that the vineyard and wine became part of the property’s economic activity. In the 19th century, a decisive moment occurred when Dona Maria do Carmo Romeiro da Fonseca inherited the Quinta do Gradil from her father, transforming it into a benchmark agricultural business focused on wine production. Years have passed and the Quinta do Gradil continues to be a Portuguese reference worldwide, now led by Luís Vieira.
