2021 proved to be particularly challenging in the vineyard. It was a cold year, marked by several episodes of severe frost and a hailstorm in spring. Summer was exceptionally rainy, increasing disease pressure throughout the vegetative cycle. The harvest began on 20 September. Production was limited in some plots, but the grapes harvested were in excellent condition. Despite the adversities faced, the 2021 harvest yielded musts of great delicacy and aromatic expressiveness. On the nose, white floral notes stand out, complemented by subtle hints of honey. On the palate, the wine is fresh and precise. Reflecting the character of the 2021 vintage, Camille Grand Cru Blanc de Blancs simultaneously expresses the generosity of the Avize terroir and its characteristic balance between tension and breadth.
