The Pavie Macquin vineyard is characterised by its location on a plateau, near the Mondot hill and at the edge of the Fongaban fault. Thanks to its commanding position, its altitude ranges from 100 metres above sea level near the hill to 75 metres at the plateau edge. In a single estate it borders Troplong Mondot to the east and Château Pavie to the south, and it overlooks Trottevieille to the north. Thus it is situated in an area of particular quality, surrounded by three Premier Grand Crus Classés. The Château is now managed by Albert Macquin’s grandsons, as well as by his own sons, the Corre and Charpentier families. By continuing the tradition of their illustrious ancestors, they demonstrate a deep attachment to this wonderful terroir. (Illustrative image only)
