Now, Alfred Tesseron and his team are carrying on this legacy, with a keen focus on the land itself, cultivated organically and biodynamically, aiming for wines amongst Bordeaux’s most prestigious. It’s a fascinating question whether the “Mestre do Cavalo” lineage truly adds something special, or if it’s simply the passion and modern vision of Alfred Tesseron. Definitely a wine for those who appreciate history, tradition, and a good, complex wine – perhaps best paired with a rich cut of meat to really bring out the layers.
