Grafite Red is an elegant reinterpretation of a classic from the Douro, blending expressive fruit with subtle notes of aging in French oak. The name “Grafite” pays homage to the winemakers’ artistic signature and their natural approach to winemaking. On the nose it highlights black plums, ripe cherries, wildflowers, and spices. On the palate it reveals itself as smooth and velvety, with fine tannins, well‑defined dark fruit, and balanced acidity that extends a harmonious, enveloping finish. In a sector dominated by players rooted for centuries, Churchill’s—having only 36 years of existence—has distinguished itself through the exclusive production of premium‑category wines, each with a distinctive identity. That very identity—an individual and unique style—was what John Graham sought to bring to the world of Port wine when he founded the company in 1981.
